Lately I got the chance to meet up with the Haunso family again, and we spent a great morning together in the park.
One of the best parts about being a family portrait photographer is seeing how much the children have changed since you last met. A year before, little Cecilia got around by shuffling (is there a better word?) on the floor of her house, allowing me to get some beautiful window-lit portraits of her playing with her toys.
Now, she is well and truly mobile and loving playing outdoors independently…what a difference in 12 months. For all that, her amazing blue eyes and fair hair were unmistakable.
With the family having moved to Pennsylvania in the last year, I think the last photo of Cecilia heading off with her backpack becomes that wee bit more poignant. Hopefully we’ll see you over here again soon!
